Ok, here we go. I managed to get up
at 6 am but I was the only one. Vacation mode was starting to
sink in with the rest of the family. Alice got up
shortly after me and we had a very nice peaceful morning.
Since Matt did not get up early enough we are going to have to scrap
golf for this morning. I need to get started on the Tile job
today.
Everyone was up by 9ish and we needed to go to
the hardware store and meet Alice's brother so we could get the stuff we needed
for the tile
job. We got our
bucket, sponges and grouting tool and headed back to get
started.
Well as with any home project or any
construction job for that matter, we ran into our first
glitch. The adhesive that Alice's brother had was for doing floors and
not walls, so we are going to have to make another trip to the
hardware store to get what is called mastic.(super sticky, heavy duty
glue)
We managed to get some but it was in a very
unique package. I was used to getting it in a 5 gallon
bucket. This came in a over sized tube like tooth paste.
This was good as we would not need a 4 gallon bucket so we got 3
tubes and headed back to the cabin. I also managed to get a
really cool razor knife too.
As I said yesterday we
went to the noodle shop for lunch. Now that lunch is over it
is getting close to WAKEBOARDING time. We got our towels and
swim stuff and headed for the marina.

As I
said yesterday the journey was a lot of fun but I am not going to
repeat myself completely. After all the fun on the water we
got cleaned up and headed over to Alice's brothers for dinner. We were
having spaghetti and rice with sauce. The rice was different
and I need to remember to try it at home as it was very good with
spaghetti sauce.
After dinner we set up the video
camera to watch the footage that we took on the lake. Before, during
and after the kids had found a new way to make the old faithful
noise of entertainment and that would be FLATULATION. We
called it the flatulation festival. What they managed to do
was take a hand pump that was used to pump up all the water toys and
rafts and positioned it under their arms and between their bellies
and start pumping.
At the beginning they had us in
stitches but as kids will not let things rest they beat this one
into the ground. Even at the end it was still kind of
funny. The most creative and realistic award goes to Z (11yr nephew) and the
rest were not far behind (no pun intended).
The video
footage was good and everyone enjoyed seeing themselves on the
water. We got back to our cabin around 10 pm. I did get
to talk to my mom and to Bernie and everything was going ok.
Tried to watch Dennis the Mennace but only made about 20 minutes and
off to bed. Till tomorrow.
