Alice's brother and I are going to try and get the tile finished. The girls are headed to the lake. The sun is shining and today is the official opening day of the season.

Alice's brother and I had great success with the tile and it is almost all set in place except for one little section which we can get finished tomorrow. And then we just need grout. (fill in the joints in between the tiles) I will try and get that finished tomorrow.

I am sitting here alone at the moment enjoying yet another SUSHI/SASHIMI lunch. I got it all for half price yesterday so it is not only good but cheap too. Lunch is over and it is time to get back to work.
Well almost. We ran out of tile glue. The hardware store close by does not have any more so we will have to go another hardware store quite far away and this will take up the rest of the day.  So off we all went in the 2 vans - pic1 pic2

The hardware store was the same name as the one here in town but much bigger. I managed to find these special fruit bags that they use here to cover different kinds of fruit while it is still growing on the tree. I was told that they keep animals and birds from eating them off the tree. So I got some for my moms mango tree which puts out unbelievable mangos but the squirrels and ducks seem to get a lot of them so I will try the bags next time around.

I also bought a bag of the Mastic (tile glue) for a gift for a good friend of mine that has done a lot of tile work in his day and I used to work with him a lot as well. (Mike McCleary) I also got another pair of scissors too. Since there was another 100 yen store close by that we have not yet been to we went. Gave the kids each a 1000 yen (10 bucks) and off they went. I managed to get some more knives and scissors and some other cool gifts for my friends.

Got back to the Sillavans cabin and managed to get the rest of the tile installed and I even managed to get most of the grouting done too.

Back to our cabin around 7pm and had some more raw fish and rice for dinner. Watched the movie LIAR LIAR with Jim Carrey and then went to bed. Ta till tomorrow.
